Finding a Designated Prescriber shouldn't be the hardest part of your training.
Pharmacists enrolling in the Graduate Certificate in Pharmacist Prescribing are required to engage a Designated Prescriber - and find structured clinical support on top of their university coursework. For most, that's a significant barrier.
Prescribe Connect removes both obstacles. We match you with an eligible, experienced Designated Prescriber and provide a complete learning program built around your university requirements - so you can focus on completing your training, not navigating the setup.

What's included
Everything in one enrolment
The Prescribe Connect program combines structured weekly mentoring, case-based discussions, and self-paced modules to cover every aspect of safe and effective prescribing.
1:1 Designated Prescriber Support
You'll be matched with a seasoned Designated Prescriber for your supervised mentoring hours. Gain access to 1:1 support as needed.
6-10 Group Mentor Sessions
Case-based group sessions with your Designated Prescriber on clinical conditions. Discuss real-world cases, build clinical reasoning, and prepare for university assessments.
Compentecy/Consult Sessions
1:1 sessions with your Designated Prescriber, where they will directly observe you conducting patient consultations as part of the prescribing decision-making process. These sessions focus specifically on your prescribing consultations with patients. Plus observe your DP in patient consultation.
20 Online Learning Modules
Access a library of on‑demand modules and clinical videos covering key prescribing areas, plus 2 foundation modules covering motivational interviewing and patient history taking.
Your Designated Prescribers
Matched with an experienced, eligible prescriber.
All Prescribe Connect Designated Prescribers are:
AHPRA-registered health practitioners with no undertakings or restrictions on their practice
Authorised to prescribe medications with at least one year of unsupervised, independent prescribing experience
Actively working in a prescribing role relevant to your scope of practice
Free from conflicts of interest with students
